From July 8-10, 2026, the SmartGit team was part of WeAreDevelopers Berlin. Under the motto ‘Your Git Mission Starts Here’ our booth became a meeting point for developers who wanted to talk about Git workflows, repository challenges, and smarter ways to work with Git.
We met long-time SmartGit users, first-time visitors, students, teams, and developers from many different technical backgrounds. The conversations ranged from everyday Git questions to complex branching strategies, merge conflicts, worktrees, and repository history.

SmartGit supports different branching strategies and helps users manage branches visually. Features such as Feature-Flow make it easier to follow structured workflows without losing control of the underlying Git operations.
Conflict Solver
The three-pane Conflict Solver shows both versions of a conflict and the resulting file. This makes it easier to compare changes and resolve conflicts with confidence.
Commit Overlap

More Than Git
Our booth was also about community.
Visitors joined us for table soccer, LEGO® and SmartGitty giveaways, glittery stickers, and many great conversations. SmartGitty gained plenty of new fans and became part of many photos, videos, and conference memories.
Most importantly, we received valuable feedback about the challenges developers face in their daily Git workflows.
